Gabriel Bateman plays Andy Barclay, the lonely 13-year-old boy who comes into the possession of a murderous doll.

Tim Matheson plays Henry Kaslan, founder and CEO of Kaslan Corp, the company that manufactures the doll.

Other cast members include Nicole Anthony as Detective Willis, Norris’ partner, Carlease Burke as Doreen, Amber Taylor as Shane’s Daughter, Kenneth Tynan as Jonga Burger Dude, Michael Bardach as Homeless Man, and JC Meredith.

The reboot is being directed by Lars Klevberg (Polaroid) from a screenplay by Tyler Burton Smith (Sleeping Dogs, Quantum Break).

Child’s Play is being produced by Seth Graham-Smith and David Katzenberg, the producers of Stephen King’s It and It: Chapter Two.

The modern remake does not include the involvement of franchise creator Don Mancini or Brad Dourif.

Child’s Play is out in cinemas on Friday, June 21, 2019.
